POSITION SUMMARY: Sun Solutions is seeking a experienced HP Indigo Digital Press Operator to operate and maintain our digital printing equipment. As a Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive top-notch printed solutions that meet their specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and maintain our HP Indigo Digital Presses
- Sets-up print jobs in accordance with job ticket and product specification documents.
- Monitor the digital printing presses to maintain print quality and optimize productive and minimize waste.
- Perform adjustments accurately, efficiently and according to procedure—minimizing unexpected downtime and service calls.
- Perform daily maintenance, on schedule according to procedure to promote machine stability and dependability.
- Follows all safety guidelines for proper material handling, machine, and tooling use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a busy work atmosphere
- Knowledge of digital printing process REQUIRED
- Experience with mailing and variable data software is a PLUS.
- Knowledge of post-press finishing process, i.e. cutting, binding, shrink-wrapping, shipping PREFERRED
- Intermediate computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Sense of urgency in relation to meeting production goals
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to understand, remember, and apply/follow written and verbal instructions
